Today is the first day of my Quareia meditation challenge proper — and recording daily.
I will be the first to admit that I let life get in the way of daily recording my prep work, and I have no regrets. I left off recording with Day 18 of prep work because on Day 19, at 15:00 summer vacation officially began and needed to be celebrated. In this time, as well, my two beasties got jobs at the marina where a friend has a sail boat. Many of my meditations then occurred sitting on the sea wall with the bones of the earth laid bare, kissed by the sea and the air. In short, I have been out enjoying life more under the open sky than under my roof. It’s a beautiful feeling.
Today, I sat for 20+ minutes. I did the clearing of the body (white smoke/black smoke), the awakening of the third eye (finger-press and tapping), and then the energising and alignment of the three channels (red, blue, white). I’m not yet up to the point of adding the flame meditation.
One struggle I have is clearly seeing the different colours when I visualise them. I can feel the energy signatures of the colours (breath and channels) as I breathe, so I’m not totally discouraged. I’m not sure discouraged is the correct word, but I know that I just have to keep practising and know that seeing the colours clearly will come in time.
One benefit of this meditation and breath work is showing up when I run. I am using the clearing of the body (white in/black out) when I start to struggle with running (it’s hot and humid, I’m still a beginner, and it’s not always effortless *wry grin*). That helps settle my mind into something other than thinking about how hard the task is and lets my body get on with the business at hand.
