Practice: Ch’an/Zen meditation – sitting/lying

Reflection: I found today’s meditation was more about relaxation and understanding certain things. I felt my body gradually release muscles, however as the tension lessened I found though I’m pretty good about state/thought control- I had to keep refocusing. This is fairly normal in Ch’an meditation- however its back to basics right? Haven’t experienced this in a long time, so it was the acceptance of it and the thought processes that kicked in that had to happen. Eventually I went to a lying down posture about 25 min in, just so I could experience a different position. Soon as I did that the thoughts/reactions ceased- went quiet.
