So, I finished up my 30 days last night with an extended work.  I recited Adi Shakti for a little more than an hour, and then did some belly dancing.  It went well, and I’m happy with how this work turned out, but not as happy as I’ve been with past challenges.  I think because I went in without a clear-cut goal, I’m having trouble decided if it “worked” or not.  I think I want to do something very, very different next, something much more “formal”.  I’m thinking about going back to grimoire work, which I used to do, but have pretty much laid aside for the last several years.  Originally, I was planning on doing a 21 day work leading up to my birthday on the 21st, but now I think I’m going to start something on my birthday instead, and finish on the Vernal Equinox.  I’m not quite sure what yet. Probably some kind of “opening the gate of the sun” thing.  I tried that before, and had lots of cool adventures, but winter was just the wrong time to do it.

On a vaguely related note, the bible teacher at school said he’d let me try his tefillin (a kind of Jewish ceremonial amulet).  I’m very excited about it.  Women aren’t “supposed” to wear them, and usually only orthopraxic guys have them, so I’ve never been able to before.  They’re very expensive and difficult to make.
