I am still not sure if I am doing this, due to the inconclusiveness of what. Either way, I am trying to explore possibilities because it would be beneficial and it is needed.
I thought more on my ideas from yesterday, and mostly they seem like various degrees of vampyrism, which gives me concerns about things like becoming reliant on such a practice and the sorts of instability I associate with vampyric practices. So while I'm retaining it in the back of my head, I don't think it's the best route to take (my main concept was creating a servitor that draws energy from natural sources like sun, wind, earth, etc., that I could then in turn draw from said servitor. "Why not just draw that energy into yourself directly, Lu?" Well, I was following my familiar/fetch-beast concept, and that's part of the reason I'm dismissing it now. So, yes, thanks.)
So today's (and likely ongoing of course) focus is on movement practices; I've done some yoga in the past, when I was stronger (how sad to say basic yoga poses are painful and challenging, huh?), so I am trying to decide if I can find some simply exercises for that. Qi Gong I know zilch about but I hit up La Biblioteque yesterday and got some books to explore. I love tribal/tribal fusion bellydance, and butoh has intrigued me ever since hearing Alkistis Dimech of Scarlet Imprint discuss it in terms of magickal practice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TX09yJPtgo note: video is 45 min). I myself will need to rewatch it, but to give you the performance video that has stayed with me and I continuously go back to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnR1FJ6yQq4 . Utterly moving, to me. I know most people are likely to have a "Wow…bizarro performance art … nutballs" reaction, but it really resonated with me. As for the bellydance, I've tried doing practice with it in the past but with the physical limitations – and perhaps without as well – it is HARD. So I don't know if it's worth trying to incorporate at this point, but I love the movement and aesthetics of it. And dancing with snakes? He-llo! Me and Zeke – my ball python – do totally need more bonding time! 😉
Those are some of my ideas for movement, and theoretically I could movement practices to create and draw energy, but what else could I be doing? 30 minutes of physical activity a day seems daunting right now. I see Andrieh doing the juice fast, which really I can't do right now. Anybody have any suggestions they can throw at me?
